Welcome to Christ Church CE (VC) Primary School

At Christ Church, we pride ourselves on supporting the development of happy and confident children who not only achieve well academically but build on their skills for life.

Whether your children already attend or you are considering sending your child to school here, we hope you will find the information on our website both useful and inspiring - we are proud of our school and want to share it with you. Everyone is valued in our caring school community and the school has received a number of awards in recognition of the high quality of education it provides.

Christ Church Primary School is an outstanding, five mixed age class school set in the beautiful market town of Skipton, the gateway to the Dales. Our children join us in their Reception year and move on at the end of Year 6 to either the Grammar Schools or local high schools. We currently have 155 pupils on roll and our class organisation is flexible to ensure every child can achieve their best.

We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that all our pupils reach their full potential and we offer a creative and well balanced curriculum to support each child on their unique learning journey. We have a firm, fair and consistent policy for rewards and behaviour which ensures that all children feel safe, respected and valued and receive recognition for their many successes.

Our staff and governors are talented, dedicated and caring and the 'Open Door' policy of the school means we all share together with you in the life of the school, as we strive to make Christ Church Church of England Primary School the special place that it is each and every day - a welcoming, caring and successful school.

If you would like to visit the school to see us in action, please contact us. We would be really delighted to show you around so that you can experience Christ Church C.E (VC) Primary School for yourselves.

Mrs D Cooper, Headteacher.
