The Governing body is involved with the school at every level, but it's core key responsibilities are;

  • To ensure clarity of vision and strategic direction
  • To hold the school to account for educational achievement of its pupils, and
  • To make sure that the school’s money is well spent

Our governing body is made up of a range of skilled and enthusiastic volunteers, representing local government, the community, the Church, elected parents and members of school teaching and support staff.

Alongside the Headteacher, the governors have a responsibility for the effective management of the school, acting within the framework set by legislation, in order to provide the best possible education for the children who attend our school. The day to day management is designated to the Headteacher and her staff.

We have vacancies on the governing body from time to time. If you are interested in becoming a governor, or would like to contact any of the school governors, please contact the school office.
