The Health and Safety Children's Group promote health and safety in the school environment. This includes their work with the Health and Safety Officer and responsible governor, but also includes raising awareness of other issues such as keeping corridors clear, moving safely around school, walking and crossing roads on trips, anti-littering, keeping things clean and handwashing.
Their main activities are:
- Supporting the Health and Safety Officer to complete health and safety checks in the school building
- Creating posters to raise awareness about health and safety around school
- Raising any health and safety concerns with the headteacher
- School assemblies, for example the importance of hand hygiene or road safety
