Intent
We want our children to develop a lifelong curiosity and fascination about the world in which we live by providing an exciting and engaging geography curriculum. Through high quality teaching in the classroom, investigation and field trips, children will gain knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, beginning with their local area. We encourage children to ask big questions in order to deepen their understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes. We want children to develop the geographical knowledge, understanding and reasoning skills that will stay with them through their next phase of education and beyond.
